Production across a landscape about 30 kilometers wide.

La Huella consists of its own farm and several leased operations. Operational management is based at the estancia, with administration in Asunción.

Around 90 farm employees, led by agronomists, veterinarians, and specialist technicians, care for cattle, pastures, water, roads, fences, houses, and logistics.

Pastures

Grass is the basis of the production system.

The pastures are divided into 496 plots averaging 50 hectares. Only a small portion is occupied at the same time, giving the grasses time to recover.

Animals move every three to four days. Pasture care, growth, and recovery are planned and monitored.

Water and energy

Rainwater and solar energy keep the farm running.

About 80 percent of the water requirement comes from summer rainfall. It is collected, stored in large reservoirs, and distributed through drinking troughs.

Solar energy supplies the farm without relying on the public electricity grid.
